I took a six week mindful self compassion course in February 2022. The course was excellent for furthering my own growth and self care. Additionally the course gave me tools to use as an educator. one of the big take away from the course for me was how as humans we are more similar than we are different. Diversity doesn’t make us different or at odds with each otherer, diversity makes us unique, and that should be celebrated. One persons Apocolypse is another persons Monday morning. No matter how hard or easy our life is, we face both internal and external battles that pit us against ourselves and the world. Everyone can benefit from more self care.
